Susi Zucchi: Out of the Cage
Out Of The Cage
The title of this exhibition refers to research undertaken for some time by the artist who explores the boundaries of the female world body through the forms that lead back to the femininity, the dresses, the lace, the fabrics impregnated with matter, creating a universe where the white is the predominant color. The dress becomes the body of him, a skin on which to engrave signs, dreams, desires and yearnings for freedom. Exposed to the pressures of advertising and fashion, and by the imperatives of morality and efficiency, the female body here claimed by the absence, his last word. Susi Zucchi moves in the belief that only art can heal the wounds and provide the tools to sharpen the awareness of the self making manifest what happens symbolically in the collective unconscious. Her works have a deep sense signal, a connection with the testimony of instinctual, the indestructible force of the feminine, which tap into the creative and intuitive potential to return to the free creature that we were. The Wild Woman, guardian of hidden treasures, reveals that the wounds stop bleeding when we learn to protect the life of the soul. Stefania Carrozzini
